If you've ever wanted to join us, now is the time! We are always looking for dedicated volunteers who are willing to put in the time and effort to train and participate. You do not have to fight fire to volunteer. We have options to help out without fighting fire. If you've got the heart to help, we'll show you how.
Our regular meetings are at 7:00 PM each Monday night at the fire station #4 on Rivoli Drive in Bolingbroke. All of the firefighters are special people and some are real characters. We all have a story to tell about how we got involved. If you get a chance, ask any firefighter why he joined. His story will not fail to make an impression on you.

Here at the Bolingbroke Volunteer Fire Department, we have a dedicated crew of multi-talented firefighters and officers. We currently have 15 active members. When a situation arises and needs to get solved, we have the knowledge to handle it.

We are an all volunteer organization of local residents who come together to provide fire protection for ourselves and our neighbors. We consist of Firefighters, Emergency Medical Respondors(EMR) and Emergency Medical Technicians(EMT) and operate out of Station #4 in Bolingbroke, Georgia, covering a 100 square mile area. We put out fires large and small, we get people out of crumpled cars, we deal with downed trees and power lines, ice storms, searches, and all types of hazardous situations. Believe it or not, we even get the occasional call for a cat stuck in a tree! We respond to more than 150 calls for help a year and train almost every Monday night. In short; we are here to help you when you are in trouble. We do all of this for no compensation. Our only remuneration is the satisfaction of a job well done. (Well, some of us do enjoy the adrenalin rush when battling the great destroyer! It's really indescribable to those who have never done it.)
